We use collected information for the following purposes:
Foreground location only: nrby collects your precise GPS location only while the app is actively open and in use (foreground). We do not collect location data in the background when the app is closed or not in use.
How location is used: Your location is used to calculate proximity to other nrby users and to display nearby professionals to you. Your approximate area (not exact coordinates) may be visible to other users on the app.
Location data retention: Your last known location is stored on our servers to enable proximity matching. It is updated each time you open the app and is deleted when you delete your account.
You are in control: You can disable location access for nrby at any time via your device's app permissions settings (Settings → Apps → nrby → Permissions → Location). Doing so will disable proximity features but you can still access your profile and messages.
